What broke
A live session was declared dead because it had pushed nothing for twenty minutes, and had its branch and worktree destroyed underneath it. In the same window a session believed finished had been running for an hour and three quarters. Neither error was available to a reader of the disk.
The rule it paid for
--list reads the process table; the marker reads the disk; neither is the other's proof, and the two lists are printed together.
